I began my journey as A Travel Agent / Destination Specialist with Avoya Travel network on July 5th of this year. After having done my research and moving from one host to another and from behind the scenes with ALG,... I realized Avoya was the better choice, because they provide leads ($$$) (maybe not all good leads), but at least they are honest about it. During the training they explain the percentage of good leads and bad leads. Since I started.... I've slowly followed through with all the clients based on the training provided from the very beginning to the Early Success training. I highly suggest, "Don't ever stop training!" Everything is easy to find and the support desk is pretty quick to answer questions when your lost. Having a one-on-one is easy enough, just email and someone will take time to help. Most of the job is about reading. Lots of reading.
Everyone I've spoken with has been easy to get along with, and though there are not classes where there is a teacher and the students in a webinar (which I'm very used to and it worked to have the connection to the community I was working with) it's actually a good thing. They do have webinar meetings where we do gather and are being taught, but they are timed and your questions are answered... and if not, just email someone and they reach back as quickly as possible.
I've already booked $70,000+ Gross in 6 months, and my current year commission is over $3,000+. That's pretty good in my eyes for booking 8 customers out of the 37 I've been trying to work with. Unfortunately at times, you do have to let go of a client because there is nothing you can do to match their unrealistic budget. That's OK! Trust me!
If your interested in joining Avoya, just understand your NOT alone. There is always help and taking leads is a quick way to make a bit of cash.
I do highly suggest getting out into your community and making yourself known. It's your community that is going to remain loyal to you, their Travel Specialist.
Good Luck (Fingers crossed for you)
I’ve been very happy with Avoya since the day I first contacted them. The resources they have available are excellent and they provide all the support you need to get up to speed in the first 60 days. The LiveLead program has been a game-changer and has convinced me that I can make this a highly successful venture in a relatively short period of time. Avoya Travel has my strongest recommendation. Come and join us and you’ll see!
Love Avoya's technology and support system.
I have been with Avoya for several years and everyone that works with Avoya is always helpful even other agents are always willing to help. Makes you feel as part of a family not just another number.

My whole reason for staying with Avoya is its core values. Integrity and Professionalism. When a business is run with that value system all other aspects fall into place.
With AP everything is right out in front of you. I do not use "Live Leads" (as you know), but think that someone new to the industry would find the feature invaluable. I've been around for a long time and have rarely been disappointed! I especially like that I am permitted to "do my own thing!"
The Live call-in leads almost priceless, web registered leads great. Most important part of biz resolved, no marketing, social media or investment required to generate quality leads. Avoya does a great job and I love their specialty leads.
Avoya Mastermind, academies at sea and support excellent. Staff wonderful. Once I understood their software system I realized how good it is, but it was a little overwhelming in the beginning. Just know it is NOT easy going in the beginning. It takes time to close the leads and build a book of business. If you can hang in there it is very worth it. Love working from home. Would rather work 80 hours a week from home than 40 hours a week in an office. Just love everything Avoya. There simply is no other host agencies out there like Avoya, and if everyone knew about Avoya there would be very few other host agencies staying in business. It is the perfect opportunity for first times in the trav biz as well as seasoned agents. I feel very lucky I found Avoya amongst all of the other host agencies.
Love the Live Lead program. All of the staff at Avoya are very friendly and QUICK to respond.
I have been with Avoya Travel since July of 2016 and thus far it has been the best decision! The database is user-friendly, the professional development and assistance is quite abundant, and there always leads available.
It is important to bare in mind that owning and running your own travel agency is no joke! It certainly is not for everyone as it requires a lot of dedication, self-discipline, and a strong work ethic.
My only "issue" with Avoya is regarding repeat leads. I completely understand and agree that when I take a lead from Avoya my commission should be at a lower rate (30%); however, I wish that once this customer becomes a dedicated repeat client of mine, the commission percentage would be adjusted. I agree I shouldn't receive the full 80% that I do for my personal clients, but it would be nice if repeat Avoya clients increased to 50% after 2 or 3 booked trips; I've earned their trust, loyalty, and am keeping them within the Avoya network. Just my suggestion!
I have had a wonderful experience with Avoya since I affiliated with them almost 6 years ago. The support, professional development, marketing and staff are great. They respond quickly, are professional but down to earth. I loved that you could claim leads at no charge. Their AP6 software we use is fantastic. This really helped me grow my business to now, where I have a large personal business supplemented by leads and repeat business. We can work at our own speed with no pressure to do more than we can handle. I highly recommend Avoya.
Avoya Travel is a joke. I invested money and time in setting up a corporation, buying business insurance, attending regionals, etc. Then they sent me an email saying my agreement would be renewed but then terminated my agreement without warning. How do I know it was without warning? Because I had my Avoya email set up on my iPhone so I would get emails as soon as they came in. I made repeated attempts to speak to the main decision maker Steve, and he never responded to me. This is incredibly disappointing - considering I had just attended the regional conference and picked up tips I planned to implement to grow my business. They don’t really communicate well here. And most of the leads they speak so highly of are garbage.
