I began my journey as A Travel Agent / Destination Specialist with Avoya Travel network on July 5th of this year. After having done my research and moving from one host to another and from behind the scenes with ALG,... I realized Avoya was the better choice, because they provide leads ($$$) (maybe not all good leads), but at least they are honest about it. During the training they explain the percentage of good leads and bad leads. Since I started.... I've slowly followed through with all the clients based on the training provided from the very beginning to the Early Success training. I highly suggest, "Don't ever stop training!" Everything is easy to find and the support desk is pretty quick to answer questions when your lost. Having a one-on-one is easy enough, just email and someone will take time to help. Most of the job is about reading. Lots of reading.
Everyone I've spoken with has been easy to get along with, and though there are not classes where there is a teacher and the students in a webinar (which I'm very used to and it worked to have the connection to the community I was working with) it's actually a good thing. They do have webinar meetings where we do gather and are being taught, but they are timed and your questions are answered... and if not, just email someone and they reach back as quickly as possible.
I've already booked $70,000+ Gross in 6 months, and my current year commission is over $3,000+. That's pretty good in my eyes for booking 8 customers out of the 37 I've been trying to work with. Unfortunately at times, you do have to let go of a client because there is nothing you can do to match their unrealistic budget. That's OK! Trust me!
If your interested in joining Avoya, just understand your NOT alone. There is always help and taking leads is a quick way to make a bit of cash.
I do highly suggest getting out into your community and making yourself known. It's your community that is going to remain loyal to you, their Travel Specialist.
Good Luck (Fingers crossed for you)
I love working with Avoya. It has been the best decision I ever made.
The support and professional cannot be beat! 10 Plus They really care about my clients! I love that never any booking fees and Amex bonuses.
I have been with Avoya 9 years. .in the Travel business 34years. Short and sweet ,They are great.,! Free Leads, Great support and get paid weekly ., glad I came on board. !
OK, so I've only been with Avoya for 2 1/2 months. The onboarding was pretty thorough. If I find things I don't understand there is always a way to get the answers. Is this easy? NO, But is this rewarding? YES!
The only reason I didn't give it a 5 star is that I wish I could have a booking engine attached to my site. Some people just don't want to talk to an agent. They want to feel like they can take care of it themselves.
I've enjoyed all the support as well as the live leads.
I am new to the travel industry, but I have a passion for getting people on fantastic trips that suit them.
Being new to the field, I was worried about my success in travel sales. The support given me by the Avoya team is unbelievable. I am never belittled when I ask questions, and there is ALWAYS someone available to help me out.
I am so happy to be affiliated with Avoya!
I started with training through Quest, which included training by Carnival Cruise Line and, when that was completed, I went through Avoya training with Avoya University. I have seen some complaints about this process. However, I am very glad I went through the whole process! I had not worked as a travel agent before and without this fantastic training I believe I could not have done this. It brought me through forming my LLC, Onward Voyager, so everything has gone smoothly. As I started accepting leads, I was not booking much. Then I was assigned a one-on-one coach for 3 sessions and with his advice my bookings are starting to come quicker. I am just under 3 months in and have been invited to join the Mastermind Program and getting more leads than I can handle! I am looking forward to learning from the best how to streamline and increase my booking rates. Loving working as an affiliate for Avoya!
So I worked with Avoya for six months, and I can admit truthfully that it was not successful outing due mostly to me. The tools are certainly there to be successful. It looks like they are about to roll out mobile friendly versions of their software which will be a huge plus going forward. I found from a tech side Agent Power to be a tad dated in its interfaces. But that is a minor complaint. Like everything this requires a time commitmment and I found myself short on the time to really make this successful. So 4.5 stars for me, because in good conscience I won't leave a perfect score when it did not work out. But don't read into it anymore than that. Avoya made plenty of tools available to be successful, and you can be successful if you put the time and effort into it.
Well I gave Avoya a 10 because I am new to this type of Industry and getting to know Avoya's CRM system would be hard, but there is so much support no matter how many questions I ask. I always feel like everyone is always willing to help you. So many ways of acquiring knowledge through the webinars and Avoya University. It seems Avoya wants me to succeed, so yes I will give a 10. Truthfully I have never been around so many people willing to help you and have a company that wants you to succeed.
I am impressed with the general and individual support and the overall integrity of the Avoya operation.
I give Avoya a 5+ rating because of the support provided to help you succeed. I would recommend them to anyone wanting to jump start their travel business. Thank you for the continued support and educational information needed to make my business the best that it can be.
